minutesWe love beef and lamb burgers but turkey burgers are a great alternative as well as lighter and healthier. I love these burgers, they are moist and delicious and I love they don’t use bread crumbs to bind them. These are great on the grill or roasted in the oven. My kids eat these without cheese which is amazing because they like cheese on all their burgers, BUT there is cheese in the burgers. Enjoy. I sometimes mix and form the burgers the day before.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey meat, with some fat
4oz feta with herbs, crumbled
1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
1/4 cup fresh chopped Tarragon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and fresh ground pepper
Brioche or pretzel buns with all the condiments
Directions
- Heat oven to 400. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
- In a bowl, mash the beans. Add in and mix all together the turkey meat with feta, parsley, tarragon, paprika, salt and pepper. Form 4-6 burgers, about an inch to an inch and a half thick.
- Place burgers on baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes. Check the burgers with a digital instant read thermometer, about 165.
- Let rest for 5 minutes and serve on buns with lettuce and tomato and all the sauces you like.
