Cilantro Mint Relish

minutesThis is a favorite recipe and it is easy to change up the flavors and play with the flavor profiles you want the dish to have and what you want to create. You can’t go wrong with the flavors in this relish. I love cilantro, mint and ginger. his recipe works with so many dishes or if you have some leftover, toss it into rice you are making or add white wine to it and create more marinade.
Ingredients
1/4 small white or red onion, chopped well
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint
2 Serrano chiles, cut to remove seeds and chopped
1/3 cup vegetable oil or avocado oil
Kosher Salt
Directions
- In a large jar with a tight fitting lid, mix everything with lid on. Give a good shake.
- Use with grilled fish, chicken, pork and vegetables.
