I am not a margarita fan as I find they tend to be to sweet. I don’t care for sweet cocktails. My husband has been making these for years and they are not only refreshing but if you have the slightest cold the vitamin C and tequila know it out of you. We are blessed with many citrus trees in our yard so we never have to buy it. We will pick a wide variety such as lemons, limes, oranges and blood oranges.
Ingredients
2 cups fresh squeezed citrus of choice or a mix
2 Tablespoons Agave nectar
1 cup good tequila
1 bottle of Pellegrino or a favorite sparking water or tonic
4 sprigs rosemary
Ice
Directions
- Mix the citrus, agave, and sparkling water together. Pour into chilled glasses filled with ice. Add the tequila.
- Garnish with a rosemary sprig. You can always add a floater of grand mariner or something else you would enjoy.
