Southeast Asian Turkey Burgers

minutesLove these and love the flavor. My kids always request these. It is a fun twist on burgers and when I make these we always serve with homemade naan or pita breads. I will cut potatoes into thick wedges and toss with olive oil and a Penzey’s Asian spice and it all seems to work. Enjoy a burger with great flair and flavor.
Ingredients
2 stalks lemongrass, root ends trimmed and tough outer leaves tossed
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 Tablespoons chopped shallots
1 Tablespoon fresh chopped ginger
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon water
4 teaspoons Asian fish sauce
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon red pepper chile flakes
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups mixed fresh herbs: cilantro, mint and basil

Directions
- Thinly slice lower 6 inches of lemongrass.You should have 1/4 cup and discard the rest. Combine lemongrass, garlic, shallots, ginger, chile, water, and 2 teaspoons fish sauce in a mini processor and grind scraping down the sides. Bringing into a thick paste.
- Mix paste with turkey until just combined. Do not over mix. Form into 4 burgers and place on a plate, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Whisk together in a small bowl, lime juice, oil, sugar, red pepper flakes, salt and remaining 2 teaspoons fish sauce until sugar and salt are dissolved.
- If using a gas grill, turn off one burner, Oil grill rack and grill burgers, turning once. About 10-12 minutes.
- Whisk lime sauce and drizzle over turkey burgers.Top each burger with fresh herbs.
