minutesI made this and people went crazy. It was so delicious, so moist and so perfect either as an afternoon snack or as a dessert with whipped cream. I made this for a few friends and they went mental and said it was the best they ever had. Enjoy. Something a little different than my traditional mama bread. This recipe is very easy to double.
Ingredients
4 medium bananas
2 lg eggs
6 Tablespoons Salted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350. Spray a bread pan or two with Pam Spray.
- In a large bowl, use a fork to mash 4 bananas until almost smooth. Add 2 eggs to the bowling whisk completely. Wish in melted butter.
- Once combined, whisk in brown sugar, unscented cocoa, and vanilla. Use a rubber spatula, stir in 3/4 teaspoons baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Gradually add 1 1/2 cups flour, stirring gently after each addition. Be careful to not over-mix. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans. Smooth the top and bake for 40-50 minutes and until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Start checking after 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool completely before serving.
