Favorite Grilled SalmonCourse: Dinner, FishCuisine: American
I have been making this recipe forever. I saw it a million years ago in Bon Appetit and decided to make it for 4th of July. It was hit and is now part of the rotation. It has great flavor and is delicious.
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or Aleppo pepper
1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets
2 lemons, sliced very thin
2 Tablespoons olive oil
- Prepare the grill. Mix oregano and the next 4 ingredients in a small bowl to combine.
- Drizzle the salmon with some of the oil and sprinkle with spice mixture. Place sliced lemon on each fish, 2 each.
- Grill, turning fish after 4 minutes, and grill until just done about 4-6 minutes more.
- Serve on warm plates with couscous and grilled vegetables.
