Pimm’s CupCourse: CocktailCuisine: EnglishDifficulty: Easy
Love Pimm’s Cup! I have spent a lot of time in England. I spent a year studying there as well as an internship with the BBC. An old friend came to visit and made us Pimm’s Cups. He said the secret to a good Pimm’s Cup is the marinating of the cucumbers and strawberries in a good gin in the refrigerator overnight. Another must is a tall glass pitcher and lots of ice. This cocktail is refreshing, balanced and a favorite. I am not a fan of sweet cocktails or drinks and this is the perfect summer cocktail.
1 bottle of Pimm’s
1 package fresh mint
1-2 English Cucumbers, cut into thin spears
1 package strawberries, stemmed and quartered
6 pack of Sprite
Lots of ice
1 bottle of good gin
- Place cucumbers and strawberries in a bowl with gin and refrigerate overnight.
- In a glass pitcher, mix Pimm’s with Sprite. Add the mint leaves, some slightly torn and lots of ice.
- Finish off adding marinated fruit.
- Pour into prepared glasses. Sip and enjoy.
