Simple Flavored White FrostingCourse: DessertCuisine: AmericanDifficulty: EASY
This is the easiest frosting recipe and easy to play with and create different flavors or colors. My daughter makes this and she mixes in her favorite jam just to change up the flavor. This works with any cake or cup cake. This recipe makes enough to frost 12 cup cakes or 2 8 inch round cakes.
If you want to make this chocolate flavored you can add 1-2 Tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa.
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2-4 powdered sugar, sifted
2 teaspoons vanilla OR look below
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond or lemon or peppermint
- Beat softened butter and cream cheese together in a bowl until blended.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
